Use of LaoshiAI
LaoshiAI is a study aid that helps turn your sources into Feynman-style explanations, transcripts, Smart Notes, quizzes, flashcards, mind maps, translations, and Ask AI responses. You may use LaoshiAI only for lawful personal, educational, or internal study purposes and in compliance with these terms.
Your Responsibilities
You are responsible for the sources you upload, record, paste, link, or otherwise submit to LaoshiAI. Do not upload content unless you have the rights and permissions needed to use it. You must follow the policies of your school, university, workplace, instructor, or organization, including any rules about recording lectures, meetings, conversations, or private materials.
Recording, Copyright, and Privacy
You are responsible for getting any legally required consent before recording or uploading audio, video, documents, or private communications. You may not use LaoshiAI to record, upload, process, or share material that violates copyright, privacy, confidentiality, institutional rules, or applicable law. LaoshiAI is not responsible for unauthorized recordings, uploads, or sharing by users.
Your Content
You keep ownership of the source materials you provide. You grant LaoshiAI a limited permission to host, transmit, process, transform, and display your content as needed to provide the app, generate study materials, sync your library, troubleshoot issues, and improve reliability and safety.
AI Output
AI-generated notes may be incomplete or incorrect. Review important information against the original source before relying on it for exams, work, health, legal, financial, or safety decisions.
Subscriptions
Paid plans, renewals, cancellations, trials, and refunds are handled by the app store or payment provider shown at purchase time, such as Apple, Google, RevenueCat, Polar, or another payment provider. Subscription access is for the account that purchased it and may not be shared, resold, or used to avoid usage limits.
Acceptable Use
Do not abuse, disrupt, reverse engineer, scrape, overload, resell, or attempt to bypass limits in LaoshiAI. Do not use automated tools to access the service unless we have given written permission. We may suspend or terminate access if we believe use of the service creates legal, security, operational, or abuse risks.
Availability and Changes
LaoshiAI may change, add, limit, or remove features over time. We work to keep the service available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access or permanent availability of any generated content, storage, model, integration, or feature.
Disclaimers and Liability
LaoshiAI is provided as-is and as available. To the fullest extent allowed by law, we disclaim warranties and are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for losses caused by user content, AI output, third-party services, downtime, or misuse of the app.
