No. The free plan stays free forever and includes 3 topics, smart notes, basic flashcards and a daily quiz. You only upgrade to Pro if you outgrow that.
Can I use it without an iPhone?+
Absolutely. The web app at laoshi.ai is fully featured, with the same Feynman drills, same mind maps, same flashcards. Android is coming soon.
What can I upload as a source?+
PDFs, audio recordings (up to 90 minutes), YouTube links and raw text. Multi-source coming soon, so you can combine a lecture recording with the slide deck and we'll cross-reference them.
Is my data private?+
Yes. We never train on your uploads. You can export anything as Markdown or PDF and delete your data permanently from settings, no questions asked.
What languages are supported?+
The full flow runs in 11 languages: English, Español, Français, Deutsch, Italiano, Português, Русский, 中文, 日本語, Tiếng Việt, العربية. Study in one language, get explanations in another.
Does the Feynman feature use my voice?+
Yes. You tap and talk. Audio is transcribed on device when possible, then scored by AI. Recordings are never stored unless you save them.
